Metro source reports Kanye West's recent foray into the world of Twitter is having an adverse effect on at least one person. Kanye recently chose British teenager Steven Holmes to be the one person he follows, which Holmes says has brought him a lot of unwanted attention. He tells the "Coventry Telegraph," quote, "I just commented on something on Kanye West's account and next thing I know he's following me." Holmes adds, quote, "About 20 seconds later I had 20 messages from people I didn't even know and my phone wouldn't stop bleeping." Holmes thanked Kanye for choosing to follow him, to which the rap superstar replied, quote, "You are the chosen one dun dun dun dun." On Monday, Holmes released a tweet saying he doesn't want all of the attention he's received of late, adding, quote, "I won't be speaking to [any more press], surprisingly not everyone wants to be famous. That's all I'm saying - peace out x."
Kanye West is currently working on his yet-untitled fifth studio release. The record is expected in stores in October.
